Extended School Program

Extended School Program is currently suspended and has been replaced for the time being by Kid Club.

The Extended School Program is designed to provide children in Kindergarten – 5th Grade with supervised recreational activities in a safe environment before school, after school, and on most days school is not in session. The program is held at the Recreation Complex for participants in Kindergarten – 2nd Grades, and Westview Elementary for 3rd – 5th graders.  Participants in Kindergarten – 2nd grades will be bused to the Recreation Complex in the afternoon. 

Participants are required to live within the School District #7 boundaries in order to register for Extended School Program.

Registration Packets for Extended School are available for pick up at the Recreation Complex or download the registration form here. Mail or drop-off registration will not be permitted. Registration must be done in person by an adult.  A parent guide with additional information will be distributed to parents at the time of registration. An additional $30 non-refundable registration fee and a full month’s payment to hold your child’s spot in each program will be due at the time of registration.

ePACT Network will be used to collect all medical and emergency contact information electronically. After registration is complete, you will receive an email invitation to complete your free account and fll out the necessary paperwork. If you already created an ePACT account for one of our 2019 Summer Camps, then you only need to verify that it is still correct and update 2019– 2020 Program with new information as needed.

Registration after the start date will require supervisor approval and up to two business days for processing. 


Parents requesting a refund will be expected to fill out a refund request form in person. Refunds will be prorated based on the date the refund form was completed. A $5 service fee per child will apply to all refunds. Fees will not be prorated for absences from the Extended School Program.

Payment Plan

A monthly payment plan is offered to assist parents with the financial responsibilities of the Extended School Program. To keep the monthly payments consistent, the total program fee is spread out evenly over 10 payments. The payments are due on or before the 1st of each month. Payments received after the 1st of the month will be charged a $15 late fee per child. Payments not received by the 1st day of the month will result in your child being dropped from the program.

A variety of activities are planned in the morning which includes arts and crafts, active games, movies, and special events.

7:00 – 8:30am

1st Child:

After School Bunch

Children enrolled in this program will participate in a variety of activities which include: arts and crafts, games, movies, special events, and more. Each day, time will be set aside for homework. A snack will be provided daily. Includes early dismissal days twice a month.

School Days Off, Winter Camp, and Spring Camp

The Wood Dale Park District offers a program for the half and full days off of school. Activities will include games, crafts, free play, and trips. Children should bring a sack lunch and a drink. The registration deadline for each of the programs is one week prior to the program date. 

The School Days Off program is available to students in Kindergarten – 6th grades. Spots are limited, so it is suggested to register as early as possible for any days you may need throughout the school year. Registrations after the deadine are subject to a $10 late fee.
