Wood Dale Park District COVID-19 Update
Throughout the pandemic, Wood Dale Park District has carefully monitored and followed state and county COVID-19 guidelines in an effort to keep our staff and customers safe. With the decline of cases and hospitalizations in the Chicagoland area, the state projects lifting the mask mandate on February 28.
Assuming that the metrics continue to move in a positive direction, Wood Dale Park District will move to a “Mask Optional” phase at all Wood Dale Park District facilities, effective Monday, February 28.
We know there is a great deal of controversy surrounding this topic, but we have followed the direction of the state and county to this point and will continue to use that as our guiding principle. With so many opinions represented in society, we ask that you are respectful and kind to those who don’t share your opinion. With that approach, we can co-exist and, hopefully, continue to move back to the normal that we knew in early 2020.
We thank you for your cooperation. Any questions or concerns may be referred to Executive Director Matthew Ellmann at mellmann@wdparks.org.
