Fitness Classes

The Wood Dale Park District offers Health & Fitness classes such as PiYo Live, Chair PiYo, T’ai Chi for Health, Total Body Tabata, Ready Set Spin, Spin & Abs.

The Fitness Studio is a 1,900 square foot facility with state of the art fitness cardiovascular equipment and is located at the Wood Dale Park District Recreation Center, 111 E. Foster Avenue. If you sign up for a Fitness Studio Membership, you will receive a complimentary orientation from one of our Certified Personal Trainers.

The rubber cushioned Walking / Jogging Track has an open view of the gymnasium below. Seventeen laps on the inside track is equal to one mile.

The track is open and available to fitness center members-only.

Adult Yoga

18 yrs+
Enjoy an hour of yoga for all levels of participants taught by professional certified yoga instructors from Chicago Loves Dance. This class is a combination of physical postures, breathing techniques, stretching, strengthening, as well as meditation and relaxation to help promote mental and physical well-being.

T’ai Chi for Health

13 yrs +
T’ai Chi for Health is a gentle, beautiful and flowing exercise routine that is a joy to do. It is energizing and deeply relaxing, and can bring health benefits and vitality to those who practice. The movements are done naturally and gently. The gentle rocking and stretching movements can improve circulation, digestion, and reduce physical tension, and the controlled breathing can reduce stress and anxiety, and help calm the mind. T’ai Chi can also help regulate heart rate and blood pressure, while boosting energy. The exercises are very effective and easy to learn. Students may choose to sit or stand, making this class suitable for all ages and abilities.

Spin & Strength

Work your core with a 30-minute workout on the bike, practicing our breathing, and building our stamina, This class is focused on toning, stamina, and conditioning our bodies to become stronger without lifting weights.
