Below is a recap of March and April meetings with a sneak peek of what is coming up for the May meeting…Enjoy!

March: Seniors enjoyed a sponsored lunch from Wood Dale Park District, which included mouthwatering corned beef sandwiches with horseradish mustard on rye bread. It’s always a crowd-pleaser. Members also played 10 games of Bingo.

April: Seniors were treated to a sponsored lunch from Sweet Baby Rays. The menu included Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Baked Beans, coleslaw, and banana pudding too. Yum! After lunch the group enjoyed listening to a presentation on Birds of the Fox River by Kane County Audubon President, John Sprovieri. Members were so engaged and asked many follow up questions including, how do I attract birds to my feeder? how to keep squirrels out of my feeder!? So much great information was shared! Looking for answers to these questions and more? John will be back August 24 for a Nature Walk & Talk interactive program for FREE! Registration is still required in advance on our website or at the Recreation Complex.

Looking ahead to May, Seniors will enjoy a sponsored lunch provided by Parlay from 390 Golf Experience and a presentation from the clinic manager and Physical Therapist, Sarah Glawe from Athletico in Bensenville. The new fiscal year for the Senior Club begins May 1st, so now is a great time to join the club and start being part of this fun group.
