The park district is excited to share its current concept plan and examples of amenities for our newest park site adjacent and to the east of the Recreation Complex. This nearly 2.7-acre site was acquired through a land exchange with a local real estate developer that included $555,000 in cash to help pay for the new park’s development. The park district is applying for an Open Space land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant to fund the other portion of the cost to see the concept plan realized, thus bringing a new park to the community without any local tax dollars needing to be utilized.
